About the game

A pachinko roguelike in a back-alley izakaya run by a fox-masked bartender. Build your board, win him prizes, chase the grand prize. Why won't he let you leave?

It's raining in the alley. The izakaya's lantern is lit. A fox-masked bartender sets down your drink, and the pachinko machine in the corner is already warm.

Win prizes and he puts them on the shelf behind the counter. Trade the rest at the little window, where only a pair of eyes looks back. Why does it feel like you've been here before?

Aim, fire and build your board. Buy pegs and place them where you want, collect special balls and omamori charms from the Inari shrine, and stack them into chains that snowball into one machine-breaking run. Miss the target and the night is over.

Developer's note: Starball Pachinko is not a gambling game. There is no real money, no betting and nothing to buy inside the game. The pachinko parlour is the setting; the machine is something to understand, build and eventually break.

About Summer Break Games

Summer Break Games is a one-person studio in Sweden, founded in 2024 by Linus Swahn. Linus has made games for 14 years, ten of them as a software engineer, and lived and studied in Japan, which is where the izakaya, the Inari shrine and the pachinko parlour come from.
